This Emergency Response Team Training course is designed for individuals who are, or may be, required to make decisions regarding the safety of facility occupants during an emergency.

Participants will learn to give instructions, according to priority, for responding to emergency incidents. This includes command, control, and coordination of facility emergency response procedures, as well as how to effectively conclude the emergency incident.

Individuals undertaking these roles will generally be members of an Emergency Response Team (ERT).

  • An Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) is primarily responsible for life safety within the facility, with a focus on evacuation procedures.
  • An Emergency Response Team (ERT) will focus on the emergency response itself, such as firefighting and spill response.
